Superb English 51 in black with rolled gold cap from the mid 1950s
Showing no signs of use, this is an excellent example of English Mk1 with crisp barrel imprints. This is fitted with a 14k gold broad stub nib with a writing width varying from 0.5mm on horizontal lines to 1.0mm vertical strokes. The purpose of a stub nib is to give variation in line width unlike standard (non stub) fine, medium or broad nibs which produce the same line width (monoline) regardless of which direction the nib is travelling
This fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
Condition A2/1 broad stub - (Ref 12665)
