This is an English Parker 51 Custom in grey with the uncommon rolled silver cap with gold clip and is fitted with a medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm
Condition wise, this is a superb example and shows no signs of having been used and has the remains of chalk marks on the barrel. As is usual with the rolled silver caps, this shows the very superficial surface marks in the lacquer finish Parker applied to prevent the silver from tarnishing. The photo of the back of the cap shows the 'R Silver' imprint for the rolled silver finish
In terms of dating, this was probably manufactured around 1962-3 as it has the later four prong cap clutch but not yet the single piece sac protector or '51' cap imprint

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
