This is an English Parker 51 Mk1 Custom in the English light burgundy with a rolled gold cap. It's fitted with an extra fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.3mm
Apart from some miniscule marks from storage over the last sixty years, it's showing no signs of having been used and is in superb condition with very crisp barrel imprints (see photos). The extra fine nib is smooth with good ink flow
In terms of dating, the cap has the earlier metal cage clutch and earlier imprints with no Halo. The barrel has crisp 'Parker Made in England' imprints. These elements would date the pen to mid/late 1950s. While servicing the pen, we noticed that the nib has an imprint giving the manufacturing date as 1959.

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
