This is American Parker 51 Classic in cocoa with a steel cap and is fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.4mm
Most of our 51s were manufactured in the UK. This example was produced in the Parker factory at Janesville in the USA. The imprints on the barrel, sac protector and the nib all include the USA. In most respects, American and English 51s are virtually identical in terms of design and materials
Condition wise, the pen has been reasonably well used as shown by the usual surface micro marks but is in sound overall condition. The cap is a good snug fit with no dings or corrosion. Barrel imprints are worn but just about readable
In terms of dating, this is probably from the early/mid 1950s given that it has the slightly longer earlier clip and just the simple Parker imprint on the front of the cap

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
This pen comes with our normal 12 month warranty. We keep a detailed record of each customer's purchases so if you need to call us, we will have all the information here to answer any query
