An American Parker 51 Classic in black with the steel Classic cap. This is fitted with a medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm
In terms of condition, this has been carefully looked after and is in excellent overall condition. The cap is imprinted 'Parker' at the front and 'Made in USA' on the reverse. The sac protector is also imprinted 'Made in USA'
Apart from the different origin imprints, the Mk1 USA 51 is just the same as an English 51
In terms of dating, this probably dates from the late 1950s as it has the earlier cage clutch and has the unimprinted barrel

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
