The photos above are of the actual pen we are offering for sale here
This is an English Parker 51 Custom in black with a rolled gold cap. This is fitted with an extra fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.3mm and is smooth with a good flow
In terms of condition, the pen itself is in good shape and has been fully stripped down, serviced and reassembled in our workshop. The cap shows more signs of use with the normal superficial scratches to the gold surface plus a small nick and a larger shallow bump on the back
So we have given this a C grade which means that while it will be a good reliable, fully serviced everyday user, there are cosmetic issues with its cap which are reflected in its price
In terms of dating, this is from around the mid 1950s as the cap has the earlier cage style clutch with the simple 'Parker' imprint on the front and the normal rolled gold imprint on the back
Condition C/1xf - (Ref 12880)

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
This pen comes with our normal 12 month warranty. We keep a detailed record of each customer's purchases so if you need to call us, we will have all the information here to answer any query
