This is an English Parker 51 Mk1 Classic in light burgundy with a brushed steel cap. It's fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.4mm
This has only been lightly used, and is in excellent overall shape and everything, including the cap fit, is quite crisp. The cap still has its original factory frosted finish with just some minor storage marks
In terms of dating, the cap has the simple 'Parker' imprint, the earlier cage clutch and the earlier long clip. The barrel imprint includes the date code of '4' for 1954 - this dating is confirmed by the nib also having the '1954' imprint

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
