English Parker 51 Classic in grey with the steel Classic cap. This is fitted with a stub 14k gold nib which produces a horizontal writing line of around 0.5mm and a vertical line of around 0.8mm. An 0.8mm line is usually considered as broad. A stub nib provides an interesting variation in line width, but not as much as an italic
In terms of condition, this has been carefully looked after and is in excellent overall condition. The 'Parker Made in England' barrel imprint is still present and legible
In terms of dating, this probably dates from the mid 1950s as it has the earlier cage clutch and only a simple 'Parker' imprint on the front below the clip

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
