The Acanthus Parker Duofold
from the Battersea Pen Home and Henry Simpole
The Battersea Pen Home first worked with Henry Simpole in 1998 with a commission for a limited series of 20 gold and silver overlays for Conklin Crescent filling pens. Since then, Henry has created a series of precious metal overlay designs including a Snake pen and the overlays for Conway Stewart's Great Exhibition and Centenary pens which are all illustrated on Henry's website at www.henrysimpole.com

The Acanthus Parker Duofold
Working together again, we are proud to introduce our new Acanthus Parker Duofold International.
The Acanthus is a plant that has inspired artists and architects for centuries and represents quality, longevity and creativity. The Acanthus leaf design in this pen's sterling silver filigree (initally cast by the lost wax process and then hand finished personally by Henry Simpole) complements the strength, craftsmanship and style of the Parker Duofold, initially introduced in the 1920s.

The 'Acanthus' limited edition Duofold International comes with the Parker Duofold warranty and after sales service. Each pen is individually numbered and carries the London Assay Office hallmark and Henry Simpole's personal hallmark, HCS. The base pen is made from cast acrylic with white platinum trim and the two tone 18k nib is available in the standard grades of fine, medium and broad and to order in a wide range of italic and oblique grades. |
